This is the future home of the official game guide, compendium, and tutorial for Space Tower Defense.

Station Background

Built over a quadrillion years ago, this defense station was constructed around a dormant enemy rift situated perilously close to an uncontacted realm. With no sign of threat for all recorded time, the IRDF repurposed the facility as a training post. Outdated systems, limited supplies, and minimal oversight made it ideal for low-risk drills.

But rifts don't always stay dormant.

Core Gameplay Loop

Enemies emerge from the red portal and sacrifice themselves to force the blue portal open. Each enemy that enters the blue portal removes lives from the station:

Mob: -1 life     Elite: -2 lives     Boss: Game over

You must defend the blue portal by deploying towers and upgrading their attacks. Players earn materials by killing enemies and spend them mid-battle to buy:

Energy is required to power up tower attacks. ECMs cannot be upgraded, but generate energy over time—each on its own timer.

Tower System

Towers come in four colors, each with its own damage style:

Each color (except Purple) has two subtypes (A/B) up to level 4. Towers of the same level, color, and subtype can be merged to create a random tower of the next level.

Upgrades and Progression

Tower attacks are upgraded by color using energy, and the bonus depends on tower level. Players tap platforms to spend materials and add towers or ECMs. All interactions are button-based.

A stats menu tracks all-time and last-match data, including kill counts, energy usage, tower performance, and unlock progress.

Level 5 and Level 6 Towers

Level 5 towers are special and rare. To unlock a level 6 tower of a given color and subtype permanently:

  1. Meet a many-game unlock condition
  2. Sacrifice a level 5 tower of the appropriate color
  3. Offer enough tower power points (32 minimum) using towers of that color

Power Points: Lvl 1 = 1pt, Lvl 2 = 2, Lvl 3 = 4, Lvl 4 = 8, Lvl 5 = 16. Surplus points grant +1 level for every 4 extra (rounded down).

Only one subtype per color may be active at level 6 per run (max 4 active).

Bosses and Victory

Bosses appear at waves 25, 50, 75, and 100. If any boss reaches the portal, it’s game over.

Defeating the level 100 boss completes the current run and secures the realm. Doing so may unlock new features or content.

Endless Mode

Players may continue beyond wave 100 in Endless Mode. In future updates, Endless will reward permanent upgrade points for level 6 towers, earned by defeating bosses in 100-wave increments.

Each century (101–200, 201–300, etc.) will have a cap on how many points can be gained.
